Model at 1:1 scale - Ensure your model dimensions match real-world measurements
Use separate objects for each part - Don't boolean everything together; keep parts distinct
Name your components - Part names from your model carry through to the cut list
Model actual thickness - If using 3/4" plywood, model parts at 0.75" thick
Export visible parts only - Hide construction geometry before exporting
